Our Inspiration

Our typical day at the restaurant is long, so before heading home, there is nothing better than winding down by visiting a great spot where we can grab a quick bite and a drink. Izakaya literally means “Sake House with small plates” and you will find Izakaya pubs all over Japan. It is a place where locals go to let loose after a hard day’s work. Like the traditional sake dens of Japan, Izakaya Den is a wonderful place to sit and contemplate your work day. For those who love Slow Food, Izakaya Den offers the chance to stretch out your dining experience, enjoy each bite, every carefully balanced flavor, every drop of liquid genius, disguised as sauce.

Original Food Concept

We live in a fabulous culinary time. What was once unobtainable or rare is now fairly universal. This has allowed our talented imaginative chefs to create menus with no boundaries. They can mix Italian ingredients with Mexican, French with Japanese. Different textures and flavors from all over the world come together to create new taste sensations. Izakaya Den embraces this philosophy by using ingredients from all types of cuisine and offers an ingenious menu. The menu is tapas style; the smaller portions allow you to order a few dishes and share, taking advantage of the exhilarating variety.

Interior

While much of the artwork and other stylistic details were imported from Japan, Izakaya Den is ultimately more sophisticated than your working stiffs’ pub. Its unique atmosphere is a cross between Japanese elegance and all those building materials that make a space upscale and modern. Stone flooring and walls, bamboo partitions, soft lighting and bold colors make the dining room umber chic.

Private Parties

The restaurant has two great private dining spaces:

1) The Denchu, a private sushi bar, holds up to 20 people – 12 of which are seats at the sushi bar.
2) The Sakura Room, upstairs private dining room, holds up to 48 people.

These rooms are generally not available on Fri & Sat night.
Room minimums vary depending on the night and number of people.  Contracts will be required to hold the reservation for private dining functions. For further information please call 303-777-0691 and speak with a manager for more information.
